Spinnium · Effective 18 August 2026
Spinnium collects nothing. There is no account, no tracking, no analytics, and no advertising. What you write stays on your device.
What the app stores, and where
Your notes and your settings are saved on your device, inside the app's own storage container. They are not uploaded anywhere, because the app contains no networking code of any kind — it cannot send them even in principle.
Two consequences worth knowing:
- If you have iCloud Backup turned on in iOS, your device backup may include the app's notes, the same as for any other app. That backup is between you and Apple; the developer has no access to it.
- If you delete the app, the notes stored on the device go with it. Settings → Export writes every note to a single Markdown file you can keep.
What is never collected
- No name, email address, phone number, or account of any kind.
- No contacts, photos, location, health data, calendar, or microphone.
- No advertising identifier, no device fingerprint, no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
- No usage analytics — the app contains no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and no third-party code at all.
- The text of your notes is never transmitted, and is never written to the device's system logs.
Face ID and Touch ID
App Lock is optional and off by default. When it is on, iOS performs the authentication and tells the app only whether it succeeded. Your face, your fingerprint, and your passcode are handled entirely by Apple and are never seen by, or available to, this app.
Diagnostics collected by Apple
If you have turned on Share With App Developers in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share crash reports and aggregate usage statistics with the developer. This is Apple's system-wide feature, it applies to every app on your phone, and it is your choice — you can turn it off there at any time. The information the developer sees is technical and aggregated, and never includes anything you have written.
If you email feedback
Settings → Send Feedback opens your own mail app with a message addressed to the developer, prefilled with the app version and your iOS version so a bug report does not cost a round trip. Nothing is sent unless you send it. If you do write in, the developer sees your email address and whatever you chose to include, and uses it only to answer you.
Sharing and exporting
Export and any use of the iOS share sheet are actions you take deliberately. Where an exported file goes is up to you and is governed by whatever service you send it to.
Children
Spinnium is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
Your rights
Laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data a company holds about you. No personal data about you is held: nothing is collected, nothing is stored on a server, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone. Your notes are already entirely in your hands — you can read them, edit them, export them to Markdown, and delete them all from Settings, without asking anyone.
Changes
If a future version of the app ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the App Store privacy label will change to match.
